The client needed to consolidate.
An institutional client had a legacy scenario with holdings spread across banks, custodians and asset managers. This made valuation and reporting over-complicated. And it burnt through resource.
The client wanted to bring everything together – one solution to provide a single unit price across all asset classes, and consolidate reporting for multiple underlying accounts.
We were asked to work with their investment consultants, custodians and asset managers to design that solution.
We built it together.
Regular project meetings with the client and their advisers got us close to the issues. Every requirement was considered in detail.
Together, we created a blueprint for a bespoke administration solution – one that put efficiency and transparency top of the list.
Our design brought everything under one roof.
Consolidation was the name of the game. We consolidated all asset classes across both pooled and segregated mandates to provide them with a single unit price for a number of portfolios, each held by a custodian in the client’s name. In tandem, we developed a custom reporting framework.
Launch was a coordinated effort.
Working hand-in-hand with all parties, the portfolios were set up for success.
We built fee accrual into the unit pricing, making governance and fee administration simpler. We also became the execution partner, handling trading instructions and asset allocation changes on behalf of the client, coordinating with asset managers and the appointed custodian.
Our Client Solutions Team looked after the client team during onboarding. And a dedicated Client Relationship Manager continued to meet with them to fine-tune the solution.
Now there’s one clear view of their assets.
Scattered data has been replaced with a single source of information. The client has daily valuations across all portfolios. And monthly performance reports cover every underlying account, cutting out cumbersome aggregation and reducing reporting risk. With Mobius administration services looking after the back-end, oversight is simpler, reporting is consolidated, and efficiency has skyrocketed.
